
DOTHAN, Ala. (Jan. 29, 2026) — More than 400 attendees from Alabama and Florida fine-tuned their farming operations with timely information and resources at the Alabama–Florida Peanut Trade Show on Jan. 29, 2026, at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds in Dothan, Alabama.
The one-day event was sponsored by the Alabama Peanut Producers Association (APPA), the Florida Peanut Producers Association (FPPA), American Peanut Council, American Shellers Association, and the National Peanut Board., with the venue sponsored by the National Peanut Festival.
Producers had the opportunity to visit over 70 exhibitors showcasing products and services supporting peanut production and the industry.
Researchers from Auburn University and the University of Florida were on hand to highlight peanut research projects supported by grower check-off dollars. Attendees were able to visit one-on-one with researchers to discuss current studies and how the research applies to on-farm practices.
During the lunch program, Ashton Pellom provided an update from the National Peanut Board. Bob Redding of The Redding Firm shared a legislative update, and Dr. Marshall Lamb of the National Peanut Research Laboratory presented the 2026 peanut market outlook. Attendees also heard from Luke Blaustein, the new President and CEO of the American Peanut Council.
Exhibitors generously donated numerous door prizes that were announced at lunch, with the most anticipated prizes announced at the conclusion of the event.
The Grand Door Prize, donated by Kelley Manufacturing Co., was awarded to Jesse Scott of Geneva County. Scott received a $5,000 voucher that can be used toward the purchase of one piece of KMC equipment or for parts.

Additional prize winners included Adam Temple of Houston County, who won a free trip to the 2026 Southern Peanut Growers Conference in July, and Evan Wilson of Houston County, who received a $600 gift certificate to Crosshairs in Marianna, Florida, toward a firearm of his choice.
